Our Philosophy
For Effective Skincare Routines

Here at Ayuradiance, we believe there is a far deeper connection between nature and us – a connectedness that extends beyond what we can fathom. Thus, the philosophy of Ayuradiance is to understand that connection by creating a holistic skincare line by combining ancient Ayurvedic remedies (provided by nature) with modern science (provided by human ingenuity) to show how their union can deliver much more promising results.

With a team comprising expert Ayurvedic practitioners, dermatologists, and medicinal plant taxonomists, we aspire to create skincare products that help you embark on a journey to achieving healthy, younger and radiant skin. We formulate skincare products based on Ayurvedic principles and western knowledge while considering all permutations of the three Doshas, skin type & issues, and age.

What is Ayurveda?

The word Ayurveda literally means “the knowledge of life and longevity.” Ayurveda is a traditional, holistic healing system that originated in the Indian subcontinent about 5,000 years ago.

Considered as one of the oldest whole-body healing systems in the world and often called the “Mother of All Healing,” Ayurveda encourages daily self-care by using herbs as one of the means of acquiring perfect health.

The Doshas

At the core of Ayurveda, five fundamental building blocks make the world inside of us and the world around us: earth, fire, water, air, and space (or ether).

These five elements exist and combine in our bodies in the form of three energy patterns called Doshas.

The Doshas – Vata, Pitta, and Kapha – help provide a framework for comprehending how the five great elements create a state of balance within a body by interacting with each other. Often one Dosha dominates an individual; however, there could be a combination of two or all three (rare) Doshas.

Find Your Ayurvedic Dosha

In Ayurvedic literature, Vata is defined by the elements Air and Ether, which is dry, cold, and light. This element causes dryness and aging of Vata skin. Hence, if moisturizing and hydrating isn't part of the skincare regime, Vata skin becomes flaky, uneven, dry, and prone to dehydration and fine lines.

The elements Fire and Water rule Pitta. Pitta skin is usually sensitive and dewy. Pitta types tend to have moles, beauty marks, and lightly freckled skin due to the heat generated by the body. An imbalanced Pitta skin is susceptible to acne, redness, rosacea, and frequent breakdowns. Hence, it requires a soothing and cooling skincare regime.

The elements Water and Earth primarily rule Kapha. The Kapha skin types are usually rich olive or pale skin. The Kapha skin is generally oily and has large pores, making the skin sluggish and more prone to blackheads and breakouts. Therefore, the Kapha skincare regime should include regular nourishing, cleansing and deep exfoliation for oil control.
